Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - This study aims to examine cases of oral cancer with other risk features and identify cases that are at high risk of recurrence and metastasis and should therefore receive postoperative adjuvant therapy equivalent to that given to high-risk cases, based on recurrence rates and survival rates. Clarifying this will help to determine the appropriate use of postoperative adjuvant therapy and contribute to the future treatment of oral cancer.

Key inclusion criteria - Cases treated at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Nagasaki University Hospital, from April 1, 2001, to April 30, 2024, who underwent primary treatment (primary tumor resection + neck dissection) for oral cancer in accordance with the NCCN guidelines.
Key exclusion criteria - Cases where insufficient information can be obtained due to inadequate medical records
