Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - Dental Phobia (DP) is a major barrier to dental treatment. Appropriately assessing the severity of DP is essential for selecting appropriate patient management strategies. The Modified Dental Anxiety Scale (MDAS-J) is widely used for evaluating DP; however, there is often a discrepancy between the actual severity of DP and the results of the MDAS.
