Objective: Narrative objectives1 - In Japan, based on Article 23 of the Basic Act on Measures Against Gambling Addiction (Act No. 74 of 2018), nationwide surveys were conducted in fiscal years 2020 and 2023 to clarify the actual conditions of individuals suspected of having gambling disorder and the problems related to gambling. This study aims to conduct additional analyses using data obtained from these two surveys to elucidate the prevalence of gambling disorder, gambling preferences among the general adult population, and the actual conditions of gambling-related harms in Japan. Eligibility: Age-lower limit - 18 years-old

Gender - Male and Female Key inclusion criteria - Participants were selected using a two-stage stratified random sampling method from individuals holding Japanese nationality and registered as residents in Japan. Key exclusion criteria - None Target Size - 9000
