Objective: Narrative objectives1 - This multicenter retrospective cohort study aims to clarify the clinical characteristics and hemodynamic features of pipeline esophageal varices, a rare subtype of esophageal varices. Clinical data, including patient background, hemodynamic findings, and treatment modalities, will be collected and analyzed from multiple institutions. In addition, a database will be established based on these data to generate findings that may contribute to the development of appropriate management strategies for pipeline esophageal varices. Eligibility: Age-lower limit - Not applicable Age-upper limit - Not applicable Gender - Male and Female Key inclusion criteria - Patients diagnosed with pipeline esophageal varices at participating institutions between January 1, 2000 and October 31, 2025 For the control group, patients who underwent endoscopic treatment for conventional esophageal varices at Yamagata University Hospital during the same period No age restriction Key exclusion criteria - Patients who declined participation via the opt-out procedure Target Size - 50
