Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - To examine changes in perceptions and attitudes toward dementia among social welfare and nursing students through a crossover trials using both the virtual reality experience "A Walk Through Dementia" and conventional dementia lectures administered to the same participants. Additionally, the study seeks to scientifically compare the educational efficacy of VR materials versus conventional lectures to evaluate their utility.
Basic objectives2 - Efficacy
Intervention:
Interventions/Control_1 - VR video viewing: Participants will view three dementia experience videos ("Walking Home," "At Home," "At the Supermarket") produced by Alzheimer's Research UK for 15-20 minutes using paper-based simple VR goggles (Omura Printing Co., Ltd.) and smartphones, followed by 1-month washout period.
Interventions/Control_2 - Lecture attendance: Participants will attend a 20-minute lecture using PowerPoint slides covering the fundamentals of dementia (definition, symptoms, progression) and the daily life challenges faced by older adults with dementia, followed by 1-month washout period.
