No restriction was placed on the year of publication, and studies published in Japanese or English were eligible. Eligible studies were required to report clinical outcomes such as patients' quality of life (QOL), changes in the number of prescribed medications, discontinuation rates of potentially unnecessary medications, and the incidence of adverse events.
