Tokyo, Dec. 1 -- UMIN Clinical Trials Registry (UMIN-CTR) received information related to the study (UMIN000059376) titled 'Effects of Combining Foam Rolling with Static and Dynamic Stretching on Lower Extremity Muscle Activity' on Dec. 1.

Study Type: Interventional

Study Design: Basic Design - Cross-over Randomization - Randomized Blinding - Open -no one is blinded Control - No treatment

Primary Sponsor: Institute - shahrood university of technology

Condition: Condition - lower extremity muscle activity and performance Classification by malignancy - Others Genomic information - NO

Objective: Narrative objectives1 - To examine how the combination of foam rolling, static stretching, and dynamic stretching affects the electrical activity (measured via electromyography, EMG) of seven lower extremity muscles compared to individual interventions or a control condition. Basic objectives2 - Efficacy

Intervention: Interventions/Control_1 - Protocol: Seven self-administered static stretches, with two repetitions per exercise. Each stretch was held for 30 seconds at the point of mild discomfort (no pain), followed by a 15-second rest between repetitions. Legs were returned to a neutral position when switching exercises or muscle groups. Interventions/Control_2 - Protocol: Seven unassisted dynamic stretches, with two repetitions per exercise. Each stretch included 5 slow cycles followed by 10 fast, forceful cycles (no bouncing), with a 15-second rest between repetitions and transitions. One stretch cycle lasted ~2 seconds, with controlled movements matching the end position of static stretches. Participants stood upright during breaks.

Eligibility: Age-lower limit - 18 years-old = Gender - Male Key inclusion criteria - Participants: Male college soccer team members. Age Range: Between 18 and 25 years. Health Status: No evident orthopedic or neurological pathologies. Injury History: No lower limb muscular or joint injuries in the previous 6 months. Key exclusion criteria - Skin Sensitivity to Surface Electrodes: Participants with skin sensitivity to the silver/silver chloride surface electrodes used for electromyography (EMG) data collection were excluded. Target Size - 20

Recruitment Status: Recruitment status - Suspended Date of protocol fixation - 2025 Year 01 Month 18 Day Date of IRB - 2025 Year 02 Month 11 Day Anticipated trial start date - 2025 Year 11 Month 03 Day Last follow-up date - 2025 Year 12 Month 10 Day
