Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of an intervention consisting of health education and Pilates on body size misperception, drive for thinness, and eating behaviors among young women. In addition, this study investigates the relationships between drive for thinness and body size misperception, body esteem, self-manifestation, and sense of loss in one's own body.
Basic objectives2 - Efficacy
Intervention:
Interventions/Control_1 - The intervention will be conducted among young women aged 18-39 years and will consist of a single health education session and Pilates training performed twice weekly for six weeks.
Questionnaire: A questionnaire assessing drive for thinness will be administered before and after the intervention.
Health education: Risks associated with thinness, Energy balance, Balanced nutrition and healthy eating
Pilates program: Whole-body movement, Trunk integration, Lower-body training, Upper-body training, Mobility and restoration
Interventions/Control_2 - A questionnaire assessing drive for thinness will be administered before and after the intervention.

Age-lower limit - 18

Key inclusion criteria - -Young women residing on or near the Ito Campus of Kyushu University
-Japanese nationality
-Able to understand the purpose of the study and provide written informed consent
Key exclusion criteria - -Individuals for whom participation in Pilates is not considered medically appropriate.
-Individuals who have been advised by a physician to restrict physical activity.
-Individuals receiving medical treatment for an eating disorder or other related condition and whose attending physician has restricted physical activity.
-Individuals who develop health problems during the study or are judged unable to participate safely in Pilates training.
-Any other cases deemed inappropriate by the principal investigator
