Narrative objectives1 - To examine the immediate effects of walking on executive function and mood in community-dwelling older adults.
Basic objectives2 - Efficacy
Intervention:
Interventions/Control_1 - Participants walk in an urban park for approximately 20 minutes in a single session. The walking intervention is performed once on the study day, accompanied by a research collaborator.
Interventions/Control_2 - Participants walk on public roads surrounding the urban park for approximately 20 minutes in a single session. The walking intervention is performed once on the study day, accompanied by a research collaborator.
Eligibility:
Age-lower limit - 65
years-old
Gender - Male and Female
Key inclusion criteria - Community-dwelling adults aged 65 to <85 years who are able to walk independently.
Key exclusion criteria - Individuals who possess a Physical Disability Certificate, Mental Disability Certificate, or Rehabilitation Certificate.
