Tokyo, Feb. 10 -- UMIN Clinical Trials Registry (UMIN-CTR) received information related to the study (UMIN000060626) titled 'A retrospective study on the usefulness of left atrial intracardiac echocardiography (LA-ICE) during pulsed-field ablation' on Feb. 10.

Study Type: Observational

Primary Sponsor: Institute - Shinkoga Hospital, Tenjinkai Social Medical Corporation

Condition: Condition - Atrial Fibrillation Classification by malignancy - Others Genomic information - NO

Objective: Narrative objectives1 - The aim of this study was to determine the proportion of pulmonary veins that required catheter repositioning when initial fluoroscopy-guided catheter positioning was reassessed using left atrial intracardiac echocardiography (LA-ICE), and to evaluate the rate of first-pass pulmonary vein isolation achieved after LA-ICE-guided catheter repositioning. Basic objectives2 - Safety,Efficacy

Eligibility: Age-lower limit - 20 years-old = Gender - Male and Female Key inclusion criteria - patients who underwent pfa using the farapulse pentaspline catheter for atrial fibrillation, with documented use or non use of ice such as acunav or soundstar, with intra and post procedural videos allowing assessment of pulmonary vein isolation and first pass isolation, and who provided opt out consent. initial pfa cases performed at our institution. Key exclusion criteria - patients who underwent ablation using energy sources other than pfa in combination with pfa, or cases with missing intra procedural ice or fluoroscopic recordings making isolation assessment difficult. Target Size - 20

Recruitment Status: Recruitment status - No longer recruiting Date of protocol fixation - 2025 Year 10 Month 20 Day Date of IRB - 2025 Year 10 Month 21 Day Anticipated trial start date - 2025 Year 10 Month 21 Day Last follow-up date - 2026 Year 02 Month 28 Day
