Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - To clarify whether oral hygiene instruction using mobile phone text message is effective in improving oral hygiene status of older adults
Basic objectives2 - Efficacy
Intervention:
Interventions/Control_1 - For the test group, the following interventions will be delivered.
I. Usual in-person oral hygiene instruction at baseline
II. Text messages for providing oral hygiene instruction will be sent to the mobile phone (a total of 12 messages will be sent every other day between baseline and 4 weeks of follow-up)
Interventions/Control_2 - For the control group, only usual in-person oral hygiene instruction will be provided at baseline.

Age-lower limit - 65
years-old

Gender - Male and Female
Key inclusion criteria - Community-dwelling older adults aged 65 years or older
Key exclusion criteria - I. Subjects aged less than 65 years
II. Subjects who are edentulous
III. Subjects who do not have any mobile phones to receive the text messages
IV. Subjects unable to communicate due to hearing impairment or mental health issues
V. Subjects found to have cognitive impairment
