Tokyo, Aug. 31 -- UMIN Clinical Trials Registry (UMIN-CTR) received information related to the study (UMIN000062738) titled 'The effect of food intake on subsequent exercise duration in hot environments' on Aug. 31.

Study Type: Interventional

Study Design: Basic Design - Cross-over Randomization - Randomized Blinding - Open -no one is blinded Control - Placebo

Primary Sponsor: Institute - Waseda University

Condition: Condition - Healthy adults Classification by malignancy - Others Genomic information - NO

Objective: Narrative objectives1 - To examine the effects of food intake on body temperature during exercise and exercise duration in a hot environment in middle-aged men. Basic objectives2 - Efficacy

Intervention: Interventions/Control_1 - Participants consume the test foods 1 in a hot environment. After 30 minutes of sitting rest, in a hot environment, participants perform cycling exercise at 60% of their maximal oxygen uptake in a hot environment until their core temperature reach at 38 degrees Celsius or perform cycling exercise up to 45 min. The primary and secondary outcomes are evaluated over the experimental period. Interventions/Control_2 - Participants consume the test foods 2 in a hot environment.
