Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - The objective is to verify the effects of viewing landscape videos and photographs on the BPSD of residents in dementia group homes and to identify differences in these effects. Additionally, it aims to clarify the impact of viewing landscape videos and photographs on patients' psychological state and on caregivers' perceived burden of care.
Basic objectives2 - Efficacy
Intervention:
Interventions/Control_1 - Watching videos capturing the scenery of famous Japanese landmarks on YouTube
Interventions/Control_2 - Appreciate still images of famous Japanese scenic spots.
Eligibility:
Age-lower limit - Not applicable
Age-upper limit - Not applicable
Gender - Male and Female
Key inclusion criteria - Patients with dementia residing in the designated facility (Dementia-Specific Group Living Care)
1) Consent from the patient and family is obtained
2) Diagnosed with dementia
3) No visual or hearing impairments
Key exclusion criteria - 1) Due to some reason, the time available to participate in the intervention is less than 10 minutes
2) Has frontotemporal dementia or another mental disorder
