Objective:
Narrative objectives1 - The purpose of this study is to examine the immediate effects of acupuncture on sports-related injuries and disorders in adult rugby players. As a secondary objective, this study aims to epidemiologically investigate the patterns of sports-related injuries and disorders occurring within the team and to explore whether the immediate effects of acupuncture may contribute to the management of injuries in an adult rugby team.
Through an epidemiological survey of the adult rugby team, the characteristics and trends of sports-related injuries and disorders will be clarified, enabling identification of key clinical issues. By comparing the incidence and time loss duration of specific injuries with the immediate effects of acupuncture assessed using a single arm pre-post intervention design, this study aims to determine whether acupuncture may contribute to the management of sports-related injuries in adult rugby players.
