The detection result is information indicative of multiple points. The detection unit counts an existing period of time the obstruction is located within a predetermined range. The detection unit resets the count of the existing period of time once the obstacle disappears from the predetermined range. The detection unit determines the presence of the obstacle in the predetermined range if the existing period of time exceeds a predetermined time threshold.
