TOKYO, Nov. 21 -- JASDF issued the following news:
From October 13 to November 15, Koku-Jieitai (JASDF) conducted live-fire
training with its Surface-to-Air Missile units in the United States. 1
During the training, combined live-fire training was carried out with Japan Ground
Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). Bilateral live-fire training was also conducted with
the U.S. Army, thereby enhancing Japan-U.S. response capabilities. 1
Additionally, Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) training involving small
drones was took place. Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) Subject Matter
Expert Exchange (SMEE) was also held in a multilateral setting, deepening the
mutual understanding among participants from various countries. 1
Koku-Jieitai will continue to enhance the tactical skills of PATRIOT units and
strengthen cooperation with allied and like-minded countries.
