THE JPO HOLDS BILATERAL MEETINGS WITH THE EUROPEAN PATENT OFFICE(EPO), THE EUROPEAN UNION INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE(EUIPO), AND THE SPANISH PATENT AND TRADEMARK OFFICE(OEPM).

TOKYO, July 4 -- Japan Patent Office issued the following news:

Commissioner KASAI Yasuyuki held a series of bilateral meetings with the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) during which the participants exchanged views on recent developments and confirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation.

The JPO and the EUIPO signed a renewed Memorandum of Cooperation in the fields of trademarks and designs.

In addition, Mr. KASAI signed the Golden Book (guest book) at both the EPO and the EUIPO.
